How to Use Color Palettes

The 60-30-10 Rule: A classic interior design principle that helps create balanced spaces. Use your dominant color (usually the lightest) for 60% of the room (walls, large furniture), a secondary color for 30% (accent furniture, curtains), and an accent color for 10% (accessories, artwork).

Start with inspiration: Choose a palette that resonates with the mood you want to create. "Calm & Serene" palettes work well for bedrooms and bathrooms, while "Bold & Dramatic" palettes make statements in dining rooms and entryways.

Test before committing: Even the most beautiful palette can look different in your specific space due to lighting, existing furniture, and floor colors. Always visualize colors in your actual room before purchasing paint.
